Udham Singh Shaheed University to Become India’s First Blockchain-AI Campus, marking a historic leap for higher education in Punjab. The Governing Council of the Kamboj Foundation confirmed that the new Skill Development and Entrepreneurship University will run on a fully blockchain-enabled and AI-driven campus. The first academic session begins in July 2026.
The announcement came during the Council’s first official meeting on November 20, 2025, held at the Punjab Mandi Board Conference Hall, Mohali. Founder Chancellor Dr. Sandeep Singh Kaura chaired the meeting, which brought together 21 council members. They later visited the Indian School of Business (ISB) Mohali for an interactive session.
Dr. Kaura said the Council selected a private site for the campus after evaluating several options. He highlighted the university’s mission to equip youth with advanced skills for global employability.
During the meeting, the University Act Draft Committee led by Dr. V. R. Kamboj presented the draft Act, which received unanimous approval. Committees on finance, legal affairs, and media also shared key plans, including a ₹500-crore fundraising strategy and the launch of Kamboj Media.
