Prince William opened up about his family life, personal struggles, and future plans in a rare interview with actor Eugene Levy for Apple TV’s The Reluctant Traveler.
The 43-year-old heir surprised Levy by rolling into Windsor Castle on an electric scooter. Laughing, William said he often rides it around the grounds. “It gets around quite nicely… it’s fun,” he joked.
William lives at Windsor with his wife Catherine, Princess of Wales, and their three children — George, 12, Charlotte, 10, and Louis, 7. He explained that none of them use mobile phones. “We sit and chat. It’s really important. We’re very strict about it,” he said.
Talking about his future as king, William stressed that he wants change. “Not overly radical change, but the changes that need to happen,” he explained. While he values tradition, he admitted that some customs may not suit the modern world.
William described 2024 as the hardest year of his life. Both Catherine and his father, King Charles, faced cancer diagnoses. He said he felt overwhelmed but proud of how they handled it. “My children have managed brilliantly as well,” he added.
