Hyderabad: In a dramatic turn ahead of the Jubilee Hills by-election, a group of unemployed youth have announced their decision to contest the polls independently as a mark of protest against the state government. Speaking to the media, the group accused the Congress government of betraying 30 lakh unemployed citizens by failing to issue even a single general job notification since coming to power.
They said nearly 30 aspirants who have been actively participating in protests demanding notifications for Group 1, 2, 3, 4 services, as well as SI, Police Constable, DSC, and JP posts, will enter the electoral fray from Jubilee Hills.
The youth stated that their candidacy is symbolic of the frustration and anger of unemployed graduates across Telangana. They vowed to use the by-election as a platform to highlight the government’s negligence toward employment generation and youth welfare.
