UP Signs ₹3 Lakh Crore Deals

UP signs ₹3 lakh crore deals at Davos, marking a major milestone for Uttar Pradesh at the World Economic Forum (WEF) annual meeting. State Finance Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna said the agreements reflect growing global confidence in the State’s economic potential.

Briefing reporters, Khanna said the Uttar Pradesh delegation held 119 meetings with global investors between January 19 and 22. These discussions included interactions with over 55 multinational companies. As a result, the State secured memoranda of understanding worth nearly ₹3 lakh crore across multiple sectors.

Importantly, the largest MoU was signed with Netherlands-based AM Green. The agreement involves an artificial intelligence-driven one-gigawatt data transfer project with an estimated investment of $25 billion. Khanna described it as the biggest deal signed by Uttar Pradesh at Davos.

Moreover, the State attracted investments in data centres, renewable energy, green hydrogen, defence, tourism, food processing, logistics, electric vehicles, pharmaceuticals and healthcare manufacturing. According to Khanna, Uttar Pradesh received an overwhelmingly positive response at Davos, with strong investor footfall at its pavilion.

He attributed the interest to improved road, rail and air connectivity, modern infrastructure, and stable governance. Furthermore, companies from the US, UK, Sweden, Australia and Singapore participated in talks.

Overall, UP signs ₹3 lakh crore deals at Davos, reinforcing its position as a preferred investment destination.
