Upendra Kushwaha property details came into focus after the RLM chief filed his nomination for the Rajya Sabha elections. The affidavit reveals the financial details of the veteran Bihar leader.
According to the documents, Upendra Kushwaha property totals ₹79.94 lakh. This includes ₹44.94 lakh movable assets and ₹35 lakh immovable assets.
His movable assets include bank deposits of about ₹13.34 lakh, 10 tola gold worth around ₹13.60 lakh, and one four-wheeler vehicle.
The affidavit also shows that Kushwaha owns agricultural and residential land valued at about ₹35 lakh. The agricultural land measures roughly 1 acre and 20 decimals.
The RLM chief completed his MA degree from BR Ambedkar Bihar University in 1983. The affidavit also mentions seven pending legal cases against him in different courts across Bihar.
Meanwhile, his wife reportedly owns assets worth about ₹1.54 crore, while the family also has around ₹40 lakh in joint property.
