Urgent Railway Bridge Demand in Nellore: MLA Writes to Minister

Nellore MLA urges quick railway bridge construction to prevent accidents and ensure public safety across major town routes.

People in the Nellore Rural constituency have stressed the urgent need for railway bridges to ensure public safety. They believe the construction of these bridges will help prevent frequent railway level crossing accidents and improve transportation in the area.

Approvals for railway under-bridges at Kondayapalem and Bhaktavatsala Nagar in Nellore Town have already been granted. The projects are currently in the land acquisition stage, according to MLA Kotam Reddy Sridhar Reddy. He has written to Minister for Law, Justice, and Minority Welfare, N.M.D. Farooq, who is also the district in-charge minister, urging immediate action.

MLA Sridhar Reddy highlighted that these routes experience heavy road traffic and continuous public movement. He requested the minister to review the progress with senior officials and expedite the bridge works to ensure public safety and accident prevention in the region.

Additionally, a proposal for a flyover near Medicover Hospital at Chinthareddy Palem Junction has already been submitted. Minister Ponguru Narayana and MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy are actively pursuing the early completion of all three projects. MLA Sridhar Reddy urged Minister Farooq to personally intervene to fulfill the long-pending demand of Nellore residents.
