Andhra Pradesh State Social Welfare Minister Dola Sree Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy said the government will give priority in the State Budget to the Veligonda, Paleru and Korisapadu projects. He made this comment while celebrating the 57th Prakasam district Formation Day in Ongole. The minister said these projects are important for the development of Prakasam district and will be highlighted in the upcoming Andhra Pradesh Budget. The Veligonda project is a major irrigation scheme to help farmers by providing water for farming and drinking in dry regions. Paleru and Korisapadu projects are also planned to improve water supply and irrigation in the area. The government aims to increase jobs and income by supporting such projects and bringing industrial growth to Prakasam, including plans for an industrial park in Donakonda. Officials are also seeking support from the Union government for better road and rail links to boost the region’s development.
