Vigilance Action in Bihar exposed corruption in two districts after officials caught a Medical Officer in Samastipur and an Amin in Supaul while taking bribes. The Vigilance Action in Bihar followed complaints from citizens who reported illegal money demands for official work.
In Supaul district, vigilance officials trapped an Amin in the Nirmali area. He had demanded ₹20,000 to process land-related documents. The team caught him red-handed while he accepted the cash.
In Samastipur, officials arrested a Medical Officer accused of seeking money for official approvals. The vigilance team recovered cash from his possession during the raid.
Authorities registered cases against both officers and started further investigation. Senior officials said they will continue strict checks to curb corruption in government offices.
