Actor Vijay Sethupathi has denied the sexual harassment allegations made against him, calling them completely baseless. He stated that he is not the kind of person to be involved in such acts and expressed that his family suffered more than him because of these accusations.
A few days ago, a young woman named Roja posted on social media alleging widespread casting couch practices in Kollywood, which became a topic of discussion. Responding to this, Sethupathi revealed that his staff had already filed a cybercrime complaint against her.
He said, “Those who know me laughed at these allegations. I also know who I am, and such claims cannot hurt me. But my family and close friends have suffered a lot. These are just attempts to gain fame and attention. Let her enjoy the attention for a while.”
Sethupathi added that he has faced many setbacks in the past seven years but has never been afraid of anything. He assured that such false allegations cannot affect him.
Earlier, another woman named Ramya had posted on X, claiming that casting couch was common in the Tamil film industry and that Sethupathi embarrassed her friend, leaving her depressed. However, Ramya deleted her post soon after, which angered Sethupathi’s fans. They questioned why the post was deleted if the allegations were true. Later, Ramya clarified in another post that she had written it out of anger and never expected it to go viral.
