Kesineni Sivanath, Member of Parliament from Vijayawada, has said that the goal is to make NTR district a model district for natural farming. Speaking at a programme in Vijayawada, he explained that natural farming will help farmers reduce costs and improve soil health.
Kesineni Sivanath said natural farming avoids chemical fertilizers and pesticides, using organic methods that are safe for the environment and human health. He added that this approach can increase farmers’ income while preserving land for future generations.
Officials plan awareness programmes and training sessions to encourage more farmers to adopt natural farming. The government will also provide support and guidance to those shifting from chemical-based methods.
The MP expressed confidence that with proper planning and cooperation from farmers, NTR district can become an example for sustainable and eco-friendly agriculture across the State.
