Sangrur’s young powerlifter Vikramjit Singh delivered a remarkable performance at the International Russia Championship in Moscow. He won two gold medals on his debut and brought immense pride to Bhawanigarh and Punjab. His family, especially his father Harbinder Singh, celebrated the achievement with joy and gratitude.
Vikramjit received a warm welcome when he reached his school. The principal and staff praised his hard work and discipline. They said he inspires many students because he focuses on studies and sports equally. He also serves as the sports in-charge at the school.
Vikramjit shared that he started gym training as a hobby. Later, he discovered powerlifting and decided to pursue it seriously. He climbed every level with determination. He won medals at zonal, district, state, and national events. He also secured five gold medals at national championships before his international debut.
His first visit to Moscow turned into a dream run. He competed in two events and earned gold in both. He said sports excellence runs in his family and motivates him daily.
School administrator Anil Mittal announced plans to build a sports academy in Bhawanigarh. He said the academy will help more students follow Vikramjit’s path to success.
