Vote Theft Allegation: Rahul Gandhi Urges Bihar’s Gen Z to Guard Democracy

Vote Theft Allegation

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi renewed his “vote theft” charge on Wednesday while appealing to Bihar’s Gen Z voters to shape the state’s future. Voting for the first phase of the Bihar Assembly elections will begin on Thursday.

“My young friends of Bihar, my Gen Z brothers and sisters, tomorrow is the day to decide the direction of Bihar,” Gandhi said in a post on X. He urged young voters to participate actively and support the Mahagathbandhan alliance.

Gandhi warned that attempts to steal votes had been made in Haryana, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh. He alleged that similar efforts could target Bihar next. “Stay alert to every conspiracy and manipulation at the booths. The future of Bihar is in your hands,” he said.

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju accused Gandhi of spreading “fabricated” claims to mislead the youth. He asserted that India’s young generation stands firmly with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Bihar elections follow intense disputes between the Opposition, the NDA, and the Election Commission over voter roll revisions. The Opposition claimed the revision aimed to reduce its support base, a charge the Commission has strongly denied. The issue even reached the Supreme Court.
