War Against Drugs Punjab

Under the War Against Drugs Punjab, the Ferozepur District Police intensified its crackdown and achieved major success in two swift operations. The police arrested two accused and seized a large quantity of methamphetamine, commonly known as ICE, along with illegal firearms.

Under the supervision of SSP Bhupinder Singh Sidhu, a CIA Staff Zira team led by SI Bohar Singh conducted routine patrols near the Ferozepur–Moga Road. Acting on credible intelligence, the team intercepted a suspect near the underbridge turning to Faridkot Road.

Police identified the accused as Tarsem Singh alias Sema, a resident of Kale Ke Hithar. The team recovered 452 grams of ICE from his possession. The drug appeared as clear, glass-like crystals and carries a high addiction risk. Investigators said he waited near the Grain Market area in Ferozepur Cantt to supply customers. Police registered a case under the NDPS Act and launched a probe to trace the supply network.

In another operation under the War Against Drugs Punjab, a CIA Zira team led by SI Dilbag Singh arrested Sarwan from Bharat Nagar, Ferozepur City, near the Valtoha bus stand. The team recovered three pistols and nine live cartridges. Police booked the accused under the Arms Act and continued investigations.
