The Andhra Pradesh government has allocated ₹100 crore in the 2026-2027 budget to strengthen its WhatsApp Governance program. The initiative aims to make government services more accessible and efficient using digital technology.
Through WhatsApp Governance, citizens can access services directly on their phones. The State plans to integrate 1,000 services under this platform. Currently, the A.P. State Data Lake links 36 departments, allowing officials to monitor and use real-time data for better decision-making.
Officials said the program will make governance faster and more transparent. Citizens can check the status of applications, receive alerts, and communicate with government offices easily through WhatsApp.
The government hopes that the program will reduce paperwork, save time, and improve service delivery across the State. Authorities also plan to expand the system gradually to cover more services and reach all citizens efficiently.
