Hyderabad: The political heat is rising in the Jubilee Hills by-election, with Congress candidate Naveen Yadav expressing strong confidence of winning with a huge majority. Following the party’s official announcement of his candidature, celebrations erupted at his residence as supporters gathered in large numbers.
Naveen, known as a strong local leader, is expected to give a tough fight in the prestigious urban constituency. The BRS has fielded Maganti Sunitha, while the BJP is yet to announce its candidate, making the contest primarily triangular.
Political observers predict a close battle among the three major parties, with Congress banking on local connect and welfare narrative, BRS relying on cadre strength, and BJP hoping to consolidate urban voters. As campaigning intensifies, Jubilee Hills is set to witness one of the most competitive by-polls in Telangana’s recent political history.
