Arsenal star Eberechi Eze produced a dazzling hat-trick to inspire a commanding 4–1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur in the North London derby, pushing the Gunners six points clear at the top of the Premier League. Signed from Crystal Palace for £60 million on deadline day, Eze silenced doubters with a masterclass that left Spurs stunned and Emirates Stadium erupting.
Eze struck twice on either side of halftime with composed edge-of-the-box finishes, before firing in his third past goalkeeper Vicario in the 76th minute. His brilliance instantly shifted Arsenal’s already potent attack into another gear, turning him into the new centrepiece of Mikel Arteta’s front line.
Arteta, visibly thrilled, praised the midfielder’s influence, saying, “When a player has such a talent and his desire is at that level, these things happen. He brought something extra — an aura this team needed.”
The 26-year-old, who has also been in fine form for England with recent goals against Latvia and Serbia, now looks set for a key role in Thomas Tuchel’s World Cup plans.
For Arsenal, the derby win was more than revenge — it was a title statement. With rivals Liverpool and Manchester City slipping, the momentum appears firmly in Arteta’s favour.
