A shocking wife murder over suspicion case came to light in the Dundigal area of Medchal district. Police arrested a man for allegedly killing his wife after suspecting her of having an extramarital relationship.
According to police, Santosh Kumar Chari, 44, and his wife Santosh, 38, had been married for 21 years and had two daughters. The family lived in Church Gagillapur under Dundigal Circle.
Investigators said the accused had been suspecting his wife for some time. On June 5, he allegedly attacked her with an axe while she was sleeping at home, resulting in her death. The wife murder over suspicion incident shocked local residents.
After receiving information from locals, police rushed to the scene and registered a case. During questioning, the accused reportedly confessed to the crime.
Police completed the investigation and sent the accused to judicial remand. Officials said further legal proceedings are underway.
