Bengaluru, India — Wipro Ltd announced that it will acquire Harman’s digital transformation solutions (DTS) unit for $375 million. The deal includes Harman Connected Services, which will join Wipro’s engineering division by the end of the year.
Srikumar Rao, Wipro’s Managing Partner and Global Head of Engineering, said the acquisition would enhance Wipro’s ability to provide AI-driven engineering services across industries.
Harman, known for JBL, Harman Kardon, and Infinity brands, will focus more on automotive electronics and audio products after the sale.
The deal will also give Harman Connected Services access to Wipro’s global clients, technology, and resources, helping it scale faster.
