Woman Dies, Five Injured as Car Crashes into Divider on ORR near Pedda Golconda
A fatal accident on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) near Pedda Golconda in Shamshabad early Friday left a 31‑year‑old woman dead and five others injured. The victims were travelling from Sangareddy to a meditation centre in Kadthal when the car, allegedly speeding, lost control around 4:45 am and crashed into a road divider.
The deceased was identified as Kothagadi Shirisha, who sustained severe head injuries and died at the scene. Among the injured were her 10‑year‑old daughter, who suffered leg and forehead injuries, and four other occupants, including two children.
Shamshabad police said the driver fled the scene after the accident. A case of rash and negligent driving has been registered, and the investigation is underway as authorities continue efforts to locate the driver.
