Woman stabbed to death in Madhubani after intervening in couple dispute

A woman stabbed to death in Madhubani after she tried to stop a fight between a husband and wife late at night. The incident happened near an old brick kiln in the Lalmaniya police station area of Bihar’s Madhubani district.

According to police, the woman stabbed to death in Madhubani has been identified as 40-year-old Marjina Bibi. She lived and worked at the brick kiln with her husband, Majidul Rahman. Late at night, she heard a heated argument between a man and his wife and went there to calm them down.

However, the angry husband, identified as Majirul Haq, lost his temper during the argument. He reportedly went to the kitchen, brought a knife, and stabbed Marjina in the chest. She suffered serious injuries and began bleeding heavily.

People rushed her to a nearby hospital, but doctors declared her dead on arrival. Police received the information around 3 a.m. and reached the scene soon after.

Authorities arrested the accused and recovered the knife used in the crime. Forensic teams also collected evidence from the spot. Police said the victim and the accused were relatives, and further investigation is underway.
