Union Minister Chirag Paswan defended the Women’s Reservation Bill while speaking in Patna. He said Women’s Reservation Not an Election Stunt but a strong step to increase women’s participation in politics. He praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for supporting the bill and pushing it forward.
Paswan criticized opposition leaders who called the move a political strategy before elections. He said the government already showed its commitment by introducing the bill in Parliament. According to him, the decision reflects a clear goal to empower women and give them a bigger role in governance.
He also remembered his father Ram Vilas Paswan and said he always supported women’s representation in politics. Paswan added that women form half of India’s population and must take part in decision-making.
He repeated that Women’s Reservation Not an Election Stunt, but a historic reform that will strengthen democracy and empower women across the country.
