Yogi Adityanath Announces Diwali Bonus

Yogi Adityanath Diwali bonus of up to Rs 6,908 announced for 14 lakh employees, boosting festive cheer in Uttar Pradesh.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced a Diwali bonus of up to Rs 6,908 for more than 14 lakh government employees. The bonus applies to employees up to Salary Matrix Level-8 for the financial year 2024–25. The decision will cost the state about Rs 1,022 crore. CM Adityanath called it a token of appreciation for employees’ loyalty, dedication, and service.

The Chief Minister’s Office extended greetings to employees and directed officials to ensure timely payment. The bonus aims to help families celebrate Diwali with joy. CM Adityanath said that government employees play a key role in the state’s progress and assured the government’s continued commitment to their welfare.

He said this financial benefit will bring happiness to employees’ families and energize governance and administration across Uttar Pradesh. The Chief Minister also conveyed Diwali greetings to all employees and their families.

Earlier, CM Adityanath met officials from the National Statistical Commission (NSC) and the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI). The meeting focused on improving Uttar Pradesh’s statistical systems to support its goal of becoming a one trillion-dollar economy.
