Rewa (Madhya Pradesh): A major controversy erupted in the Sirmaur Assembly constituency after a video allegedly showing Youth Congress president Avneesh Singh selling drugs went viral on social media. The clip reportedly captures him taking packets from his pocket and distributing them, triggering shock among locals and political parties.
The video spread rapidly across platforms, prompting sharp reactions from the opposition BJP. Party media in-charge Ashish Agrawal posted the clip online, calling it the “black face” of Congress’s youth leadership. He questioned whether entrusting such individuals with leadership roles reflects Congress’s ideology.
Agrawal further alleged that the Congress, which often gives speeches against drug abuse, appears to have a drug network operating from within its own ranks. He demanded strict action, stating that anyone involved in the drug trade—regardless of political affiliation—must face consequences.
