On the 16th death anniversary of former Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, his son Jagan Mohan Reddy and daughter Y.S. Sharmila will visit Idupulapaya today. Despite being at the same location, they continue to offer their tributes separately—highlighting their strained relationship.
Jagan, along with his wife, will visit the YSR Ghat and offer floral tributes. He will also join prayers led by religious leaders. Afterward, he plans to visit Ambakapalle village in Lingala Mandal. There, he will attend a ritual at a new tank filled with Krishna river water.
Meanwhile, Sharmila will arrive with her mother, Vijayamma, and other family members. She will pay her respects and participate in prayers, following her yearly tradition.
Although both siblings visit the same place, they avoid meeting each other. Their separate schedules reflect the emotional and political distance between them. The solemn day serves as a reminder of YSR’s legacy—and the personal divisions that remain in his family.
