YSRCP MP Seeks Supreme Court Inquiry into Tirumala Temple Fund Row
YSR Congress MP Maddila Gurumoorthy has requested a Supreme Court-monitored probe into the controversy surrounding the Tirumala temple’s Parakamani (offering counting) process. He wrote to Union Home Minister Amit Shah and the Chief Justice of India, urging a CBI investigation and judicial oversight.
Gurumoorthy dismissed allegations of irregularities as politically motivated and said they hurt the sentiments of devotees. He emphasized that the Parakamani system is sacred and must be protected from false narratives.
He also warned that baseless accusations damage public trust in temple institutions. The MP stressed that only a transparent, credible inquiry can restore confidence and prevent further politicization of religious matters.
