YSRCP Seeks Clarity on Whereabouts of Naidu and Lokesh
The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) on Friday questioned the whereabouts of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and IT Minister Nara Lokesh, demanding transparency regarding their movements. Addressing the media in Vijayawada, YSRCP leader Venkata Reddy said that both leaders had been away from the State for several days without any official communication to the public.
He urged the Chief Secretary and the Director General of Police to disclose the location, travel itinerary, and purpose of the visits undertaken by Mr. Naidu and Mr. Lokesh. Venkata Reddy argued that as constitutional authorities and elected representatives, they were accountable to the people of Andhra Pradesh and should maintain transparency in their official engagements.
The YSRCP leader alleged that the absence of clarity raised concerns, especially at a time when the State was facing several administrative and public issues. He demanded that the government issue a formal statement to clarify whether the visits were personal or official and who was overseeing governance in their absence.
