A group of 20 thieves flew from Bihar to Indore to carry out a major robbery. However, the plan failed after police received a timely tip-off. Authorities arrested the gang before they could commit the crime.
Police said the criminals belonged to the notorious “Chadar Gang.” The gang reached Indore by flight and stayed at a hotel while preparing for a big theft. During this time, a source shared information with the police.
The tip reached a constable in Haldwani, Uttarakhand. He quickly informed Indore Police and shared the gang’s exact location. Officers then raided the hotel and arrested all 20 thieves who flew from Bihar to Indore before they could act.
Police said the gang uses large sheets to cover an area before stealing valuables. Investigators are now checking the group’s links to earlier thefts in several cities.
