74 IndiGo Cancellations Trigger Major Chaos at Hyderabad Airport for Second Day

Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport faced severe disruption for the second consecutive day as 74 IndiGo flights — 37 arrivals and 37 departures — were cancelled on December 4. The large-scale cancellations left thousands of passengers stranded, many of whom reported receiving little to no information about revised schedules or alternative arrangements. Long queues formed at airline counters, and frustrated travellers said they were unsure whether to wait, rebook, or seek refunds.
The situation created widespread chaos across the terminal, with delays affecting connecting flights and onward travel plans. According to preliminary explanations, a combination of operational issues, crew-duty limitations, scheduling changes, and staffing constraints contributed to the airline’s inability to operate flights as planned.
Passengers took to social media to express anger over poor communication, claiming that regular updates were not provided and that announcements were either delayed or unclear. Many demanded immediate corrective measures to prevent further disruptions
