The State Election Commission (SEC) has officially announced the schedule for local body elections in Telangana. The elections will begin with MPTC and ZPTC polls , followed by Grama Panchayat elections in multiple phases.
For MPTC and ZPTC elections, the first phase will see nominations on October 9 and polling on October 23. The second phase nominations are scheduled for October 13, with polling on October 27.
The Grama Panchayat elections will be conducted in three phases: Phase 1 nominations on October 17 with polling and results on October 31; Phase 2 nominations on October 21 with polling and results on November 4; and Phase 3 nominations on October 25 with polling and results on November 8.
The counting of MPTC and ZPTC elections will be held on November 11. The SEC emphasized that all elections will follow the Election Code of Conduct, ensuring transparency, fairness, and smooth conduct of polls across Telangana.
