18 RJD MLAs May Lose Tickets in Tejashwi’s Review Drive

18 RJD MLAs face ticketless status, Tejashwi Yadav meeting

The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) in Bihar is reviewing its sitting MLAs, and nearly 18 RJD MLAs face ticketless status as Tejashwi Yadav holds one-on-one meetings to pick stronger contenders. The move aims to find winning candidates before the next elections.

Several constituencies, especially in Chhapra, are under review. Dr. Ramanuj Prasad from Sonpur, Chhote Lal Rai from Parsa, and Jitendra Kumar Rai from Madhaura may lose their tickets. The party may also shift some seats to allies. Last year, RJD saw defections when six MLAs, including Chetan Anand and Bharat Bind, joined the NDA.

Adding to the shake-up, Tej Pratap Yadav, MLA from Hasanpur and Lalu Prasad’s elder son, was expelled for six years. New faces will replace many of these names as Lalu Prasad Yadav personally oversees the final list.
