Bihar Grand Alliance Seat-Sharing Delayed Until Monday

Bihar Grand Alliance seat-sharing 2025 meeting in Delhi

The Bihar Grand Alliance seat-sharing 2025 announcement has been delayed until Monday or possibly Tuesday. RJD leaders Lalu Yadav, Rabri Devi, and Tejashwi Yadav will travel to Delhi for a court hearing in the land-for-jobs case. Tejashwi may also meet Rahul Gandhi to resolve issues with Congress regarding the seat-sharing formula. If talks go smoothly, the announcement will follow in Patna soon after.

Meanwhile, RJD has asked nearly forty candidates to be ready with their nomination papers and party symbols. CPM has cleared its MLAs for nominations, while Mukesh Sahni’s possible exit could help RJD and Congress readjust seats easily.

Sources say most parties except CPI and CPM will contest fewer seats than in 2020. RJD may fight in 138 seats, Congress in 57, CPI-ML in 18, and Sahni’s party in 16. The Grand Alliance has not yet agreed on a Chief Minister or Deputy CM face.
