Mukesh Sahani’s Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) has released its first list of six candidates for the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections. The VIP, now part of the Grand Alliance with RJD, Congress, CPI-ML, CPI, and CPM, has fielded Bhogendra Sahani from Aurai, Rakesh Kumar from Baruraj, Santosh Sahani from Gaurabauram, Umesh Sahani from Darbhanga Urban, Ganesh Bharti from Kusheshwarsthan, and Naveen Nishad from Alamnagar. All have filed nominations.
Earlier, VIP was in the NDA alliance in 2020, contesting 11 seats and winning four. After internal disputes and defections, Sahani rejoined the Grand Alliance in 2022. The Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 will be held in two phases—on November 6 and 11—and results will be declared on November 14. Nomination filing for phase one runs from October 10–17, and for phase two from October 13 onward.
