Andhra Pradesh Holds 60% Share in India’s Aqua Exports: Lokesh

Andhra Pradesh IT and Industries Minister Nara Lokesh stated that the state accounts for over 60% of India’s total aqua exports, contributing immensely to the country’s seafood sector. He revealed that AP achieved exports worth ₹66,000 crore in 2024–25.

Lokesh urged Seafood Industry Australia (SAI) to collaborate with Andhra exporters by creating trade missions and global buyer–seller networking platforms. Highlighting future goals, he stressed the importance of cold chain management, modern packaging technologies, and sustainable fisheries practices.

Lokesh added that advanced skills and global partnerships would help Andhra Pradesh further expand its footprint in the international seafood market and enhance long-term export growth.
