The Bihar Elections 2025 are gaining momentum as 1,314 candidates compete in the first phase for 121 assembly seats. The Grand Alliance, led by RJD, Congress, and Left parties, is facing internal cracks even after finalizing seat sharing. Out of Bihar’s 243 seats, the alliance announced 252 candidates, leading to a clash among allies on nine seats.
The first phase has seen 61 withdrawals and over 300 rejections, signaling a tough fight ahead. Old rivals return to the battleground, while new faces push for recognition. The NDA is also contesting in key constituencies, challenging the unity of the opposition bloc.
A joint press conference will be held tomorrow in Patna, where Grand Alliance leaders will address the media and outline their campaign plans. However, the delay in formal seat-sharing announcements continues to raise doubts about the alliance’s coordination and strategy in this crucial election phase.
