Ritu argued that development in Parihar needs honest leadership and not candidates with legal risks. She said Smita’s contest will only split votes and help the ruling MLA. Ritu urged Tejashwi to withdraw Smita’s nomination or let her contest independently with Grand Alliance support. Despite being offered another seat, Ritu refused to leave Parihar, saying its people look to Tejashwi with hope.
