Tejashwi Yadav Grand Alliance CM face announcement has changed Bihar’s political scene. The opposition alliance ‘India’ officially picked Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav as its Chief Ministerial candidate for the 2025 Bihar elections.
Congress leader Ashok Gehlot made the announcement in a press meet. He said the decision came after approval from party president Mallikarjun Kharge and senior leader Rahul Gandhi. The Grand Alliance leaders called it a step toward unity and change.
Soon after, BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad replied that Nitish Kumar would continue as the NDA leader. He added that there was no vacancy for a new Chief Minister in the ruling alliance.
Congress MP Tariq Anwar said the Tejashwi Yadav Grand Alliance CM face declaration was expected. He noted that everyone already knew Tejashwi Yadav would lead the opposition in 2025. The upcoming Bihar election will now be a direct contest between Tejashwi Yadav and Nitish Kumar.
