Trouble has deepened for RJD candidate Dr. Sanjeev Kumar from Parbatta, Khagaria. A case was filed against him for allegedly threatening Station House Officer Arvind Kumar through a WhatsApp voice call. On October 20th, Dr. Sanjeev reportedly questioned the officer for sending a CCAA-3 proposal against Mithilesh Choudhary. Later, he warned the officer that he would “suffer the consequences.”
Dr. Sanjeev, who became MLA from Parbatta in 2020 on a JDU ticket, switched to the RJD under Tejashwi Yadav’s influence after being accused of supporting the RJD during a floor test. This new case has created political tension in the ongoing Bihar Assembly elections.
Police confirmed the complaint and began investigating the alleged threat made via WhatsApp. The issue has sparked debate about political pressure on officers during elections.
