Lalu Yadav on Bihar Migration Crisis

Lalu Yadav on Bihar migration, Bihar politics, migration crisis

Lalu Yadav on Bihar migration has reignited the political war in the state. The RJD chief accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar of ignoring the struggles of the poor. He said that due to wrong policies of the double-engine government, more than 20 crore people from Bihar migrate every year to other states for work. During the Chhath Puja festival, Lalu alleged that promises of running 12,000 trains for returning migrants were false. He blamed the government for not creating industries or jobs in Bihar since the 1990s.

In his social media post, Lalu Yadav called Modi the “uncrowned king of lies,” saying even on the occasion of Chhath, people are forced to travel in overcrowded trains. He described the situation as inhuman and shameful. In reply, PM Modi attacked Lalu’s family, calling them corrupt and responsible for Bihar’s backwardness. As both sides trade charges, the issue of migration continues to haunt Bihar’s politics.
