Pappu Yadav Gets Income Tax Notice for Helping Flood Victims

Pappu Yadav income tax notice has become a major talking point in Bihar politics. The Purnia MP said that he received the notice from the Income Tax Department after he distributed cash to flood victims in Vaishali district. Yadav claimed he was only helping poor families who had lost their homes and belongings in the floods. He shared on social media that if helping the needy is considered a crime, he would gladly repeat it.

According to reports, Yadav visited Maniyari village in Vaishali two weeks ago and distributed financial aid to affected families. A video of the event went viral, following which an FIR was filed against him at Sahadei police station. Officials accused him of violating the model code of conduct during the assembly elections.

Yadav also questioned why other leaders, like the Minister of State for Home Affairs and the local MP, did not help the victims. The case has sparked a debate over whether humanitarian acts should be punished under election or tax laws.
