The NDA has decided to support independent candidate Ankit Kumar from Madhaura in Chhapra. His entry came after LJP-R candidate Seema Singh’s nomination was cancelled due to mistakes in her documents. At a joint press meeting, BJP, JDU, and LJP (Ram Vilas) leaders announced their decision.
Leaders like Arun Bharti, Rituraj Sinha, Neeraj Kumar, Sanjay Mayukh, and Anupriya Yadav attended the event. Ankit Kumar said he is a farmer’s son and belongs to an extremely backward community. He thanked Chirag Paswan and the NDA for trusting him.
Earlier, the LJP-R had chosen Bhojpuri actress Seema Singh to contest from Madhaura. Her papers were rejected for errors. She has acted in over 600 Bhojpuri films and worked with many stars, including Nirahua.
With Seema Singh out, Ankit Kumar now represents the NDA alliance in Madhaura. His candidacy gives a fresh rural face to the NDA in the region.
