Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav stirred a major controversy in the Bihar Legislative Assembly after claiming that the BJP had already sidelined Nitish Kumar before 2030. The remark, “BJP Finished Nitish Before 2030,” triggered loud protests from ruling party legislators during the special session.
Tejashwi made the statement while speaking on a motion linked to the confidence vote of Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary. During his speech, he said the BJP’s political strategy had effectively ended Nitish Kumar’s role in Bihar politics before 2030. The comment led to intense sloganeering and chaos inside the House.
The Speaker, Prem Kumar, had allotted Tejashwi nine minutes to speak but had to intervene several times to restore order as BJP and JD(U) members protested his remarks.
Tejashwi also questioned the new leadership in the state and alleged that Bihar had seen frequent government changes in recent years. Despite the disruptions, he completed his allotted time after the Speaker appealed for calm.
