Congress Eyes Minority, Caste Votes in Jubilee Hills Bypoll

Congress targets minority and caste votes in Jubilee Hills bypoll with outreach meetings and community engagement programs.

In the Jubilee Hills Assembly by-election, both caste-based and religious votes are expected to play a decisive role. The Congress party has intensified its outreach to secure support from these communities. The constituency reportedly has over 1.2 lakh Muslim voters, making them a significant vote bank. To attract their support, Congress leaders are promising welfare programs and development plans if their candidate wins. The recent inclusion of cricketer and senior leader Mohammad Azharuddin in the Telangana cabinet is seen as a calculated move to strengthen minority backing.

The party is also working to consolidate community-based votes. Congress leaders have been holding key meetings with representatives of various caste groups. Recently, leaders of the Kamma community met Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and pledged their support to the Congress. They requested greater representation for their community in political and nominated posts, to which the CM responded positively.

To further boost minority and community engagement, the party organized a Christian spiritual convention, attended by TPCC chief Mahesh Kumar Goud and ministers Ponnam Prabhakar and Adluri Laxman Kumar. A special meeting was also held with minority leaders to strategize voter mobilization.

With the Karthika Masam season underway, the party is preparing to organize community-level gatherings and cultural picnics to connect with voters. Congress appears determined to tighten its grip on the Jubilee Hills constituency with these targeted outreach efforts.
