Dularchand Murder Sparks Unrest in Mokama

Crowd protest after Dularchand Murder in Mokama, police controlling chaos

Tension continues to rise in Bihar’s Mokama after the Dularchand Murder in Mokama, shaking local politics and public peace. Dularchand Yadav, a supporter of Jan Suraj Party candidate Piyush Priyadarshi, was brutally killed while campaigning. The incident has triggered violent reactions, leading to stone-pelting and chaos across the region.

On Friday, the car of RJD candidate Veena Devi, wife of strongman Suraj Bhan, was attacked in Pandarak while returning from Dularchand’s postmortem. Her vehicle was damaged as the crowd turned aggressive. Following this, a heavy police force has been deployed to control the situation. FIRs have been filed against five people, including JDU candidate Anant Singh, who accused Suraj Bhan of involvement in the murder.

Both Veena Devi and Suraj Bhan condemned the killing. They demanded a magistrate-level investigation and urged the Election Commission to appoint a retired judge to uncover the truth. Veena Devi stated that elections should not destroy personal relations and that her campaign was suspended after the tragic news. The Dularchand Murder in Mokama has once again highlighted the growing political violence and tension in Bihar’s election battleground.
