Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Lok Nayak Jai Prakash (LNJP) Hospital on Wednesday evening, shortly after returning from Bhutan, to meet the victims injured in Monday’s blast near Lal Quila metro station. The Prime Minister personally interacted with patients, inquired about their condition, and wished them a speedy recovery. Doctors and senior hospital officials briefed him on the treatment being provided and the medical support extended to the injured.

The explosion, which claimed the lives of eight people, left several others critically injured. Preliminary post-mortem reports indicate the victims suffered severe trauma, including broken bones, head injuries, and extensive internal organ damage caused by the blast wave. According to ANI, victims’ injuries suggest they were thrown violently by the force of the explosion, resulting in ruptured lungs, eardrums, and intestines. Notably, no splinter traces were found on their clothing or bodies, and forensic tests are underway to determine the type of explosive used.

Authorities have confirmed that the incident is under investigation, with forensic teams examining the site and collecting evidence. Senior officials at the hospital emphasized that all critical patients are under close monitoring, with medical teams providing round-the-clock care.

The Prime Minister’s visit underscores the government’s attention to the victims and commitment to public safety. Officials also reiterated that the investigation is ongoing and that appropriate measures are being taken to prevent any recurrence.

The Red Fort blast has shocked the nation, highlighting the need for vigilance in public spaces. PM Modi’s visit to LNJP Hospital reflects both empathy for the victims and support for the authorities handling the aftermath of this tragic incident.
