The Bihar unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday suspended MLC Ashok Kumar Agarwal and Katihar Mayor Usha Agarwal for alleged anti-party activities. The disciplinary action comes in the backdrop of internal review and organisational tightening following the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025.
According to party officials, the suspension was prompted by actions deemed contrary to BJP’s organisational directives. Both leaders have been instructed to submit their replies within one week, after which the party will take a final decision on further disciplinary measures.
