In the clip, she lashes out at a journalist and questions the comments made about her staying at her parents’ home. She says people who struggle even while donating blood give long lectures on donating a kidney. She also repeats that many people did not step forward when Lalu Yadav needed a kidney.
The Rohini Acharya kidney donation controversy grew stronger when the journalist said he too would donate his kidney to Lalu Yadav. Rohini replied that crores of people are ready to donate, and kidney donation should not be made into a joke.
She also questioned why people discuss how long a married daughter can stay at her parents’ home but stay silent when the same daughter donates a kidney to save her father.
Rohini added that she donated her kidney without asking permission from her husband or in-laws because she wanted to save her father. She said daughters and sisters should not ignore their parents. She also expressed regret that people judged her harshly for the decision she took out of love.
