The new Bihar government has started taking shape, and attention is now on Eastern Bihar cabinet representation. Leaders from all parties are choosing their legislative heads. Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha will serve as Deputy Chief Ministers. Many people believe that Eastern Bihar received a major reward after the NDA’s big victory. The region won 20 of 21 seats, and this success has pushed the demand for stronger Eastern Bihar cabinet representation.
Eastern Bihar includes 21 assembly seats such as Bhagalpur, Banka, Jamui, Munger, and Lakhisarai. In this election, the NDA won 20 seats. The BJP and JDU won nine seats each, while the LJP and HAM won one each. Only one seat went to the RJD. Both deputy chief ministers won from Eastern Bihar—Samrat Chaudhary from Tarapur and Vijay Kumar Sinha from Lakhisarai.
Several leaders from the region are now seen as strong contenders for ministerial posts. Ramnarayan Mandal won from Banka for the seventh time, and Kumar Shailendra won from Bihpur for the third time. Many JDU leaders from Eastern Bihar are also being considered for cabinet positions.
People now hope that Kosi and Seemanchal will receive fair representation along with Eastern Bihar.
