A new fight has started in Bihar politics after the Nitish Modi feet touch video went viral. The RJD posted the clip online and claimed that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar touched Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s feet at Patna Airport. Nitish Kumar took oath as Chief Minister for the 10th time at Gandhi Maidan. PM Modi, Amit Shah, and other NDA leaders joined the event. The RJD and Congress skipped the ceremony. Their absence increased the tension between the ruling NDA and the opposition.
Soon after the event, the RJD shared the video and accused Nitish of showing too much loyalty. The party also attacked his new cabinet and said it includes many ministers chosen due to family links.
Governor Arif Mohammad Khan swore in 26 ministers, including Nitish Kumar, Samrat Chaudhary, and Vijay Sinha. The opposition used the viral clip to start fresh attacks on the new government.
