Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu participated in a cultural program organized at the Basheerbagh Press Club in Hyderabad and expressed his concerns over the current political situation. On this occasion, he released the book “Merger-Division: Past – Farewell. Our Chief Ministers” written by renowned journalist Inaganti Venkat Rao. Later, speaking to the media, Venkaiah Naidu severely criticized political leaders for forgetting the limits of their comments. “In recent times, it has become a fashion for leaders to speak obscenities. A cultured person does not use such language. If they explode verbal bombs, they feel proud. This is a very dangerous development. Everyone should introspect when it comes to language,” Venkaiah Naidu clearly said.

He opined that the same trend is currently continuing on social media platforms, and that it is not justifiable to post the words of leaders on social media platforms, saying, “Those who curse have no shame, why should we say that? The media should also take responsibility in this matter.” On this occasion, recalling the journalists of the past, he commented, “In those days, reporters took on a great responsibility of analyzing contemporary history and politics. It is a sad thing that that level is falling now.”

He specially praised this book written by Inaganti Venkat Rao. He praised this work, which presents the political history of Telugu states in an impartial manner, as a must-read for today’s political leaders and journalists. “Such books awaken the youth. Today’s leaders should learn lessons from history,” he advised.
These comments made by Venkaiah Naidu have now become a topic of discussion in state politics.
