Bihar has announced a major development push under the Bihar Mega Tech City Plan. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said the state has a large youth population, and the Bihar Mega Tech City Plan will help them get better opportunities. He added that Bihar can become one of India’s fastest-growing states if the youth receive clear direction.
The government plans to create 10 million jobs for the youth between 2025 and 2030. It will also expand industries across Bihar to speed up economic growth. The new plan includes a defense corridor, semiconductor park, global capability centers, a mega tech city, and a fintech city.
A detailed action plan will be prepared with help from economists and experts. Bihar aims to become a global back-end hub and a major workplace for technology-driven industries.
The state will also reopen closed sugar mills and set up new ones. The Bihar Artificial Intelligence Mission will work to modernize Bihar’s major cities and bring new technology into government systems. A high-level committee will monitor each project.
The government said Bihar now has good infrastructure, power supply, water systems, and skilled manpower. These strengths will support large-scale industrial growth over the next five years.
